Here, we ask designers to take a selfie and give us an inside look at their life.
Age: 32
Occupation: Interior and product designer.
Instagram: @nazaralazaro
Hometown: Tenerife, The Canary Islands. A Spanish archipelago.
Studio location: Berlin.
Describe what you make: I do interior and product design, and I’m getting more and more into 3D visualization and art direction as well.
The most important thing you’ve designed to date: An apartment in Berlin, which is now under construction. It was the first time I was allowed to be as creative as I wanted, so I have designed every single detail to make it truly unique.
Describe the problem your work solves: I try to inspire with what I do, being that space, an object, or an image, so I guess in a way I’m trying to solve people’s lack of enthusiasm?
Describe the project you are working on now: I’m working on several interior design projects, helping with the creative direction and general design for a small furniture company in Germany, doing 3D visualization projects, and working on my furniture pieces whenever I have some time left.
A new or forthcoming project we should know about: The launch of my Crooked Collection in the Sight Unseen Offsite online later this month.
What you absolutely must have in your studio: A clean and organized desk, proper lighting, and good music. Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of traditional music from Okinawa and Hokkaido.
What you do when you’re not working: Digging in flea markets in search of another treasure to bring home.
Sources of creative envy: More than envy! Artists and designers that I respect and inspire me: Max Lamb, Faye Toogood, Oscar Piccolo and Charlotte Taylor from Dello Studio, Yasmin Bawa, Ana Kras, Blanca Miro. And a great artistic icon I love from my hometown: Cesar Manrique.
The distraction you want to eliminate: My family’s WhatsApp group.
Concrete or marble? Marble! But not polished. Raw, natural.

Remember or forget? Remember… maybe.
Aliens or ghosts? Aliens. I often dream about them.
Dark or light? Light.
