Kostas Lambridis’s chaotically mismatched objects may at first seem haphazardly assembled, but there’s a method to the madness—the elements are arrayed horizontally and vertically in order of their materiality, with concrete, stone, and ceramic elements contrasting wood and plastics. The Greek designer gathers unwanted objects such as broken marble, shattered window glass, and garden chairs from all across Athens to repurpose them into his inventive creations, six of which debut at his first solo show at Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s Paris outpost.
