Named in reference to the degree when solid becomes soft and boiling points are reached, “Melting Point” unites glass and ceramic artists who are exploring the inherent physical qualities of materials that are formed and reformed by melting. The group exhibition takes on a metaphorical significance—as the planet warms, we find ourselves closer to a collective melting point both physically and socially.
