Title of work: The Constant Gardeners. 

Where to see it: Fountain Square (Ueno Park, Tokyo) until September 5.

Three words to describe it: Meditation, reflection, technology.

What was on your mind at the time: Robotics applied to urban environments. Human movement, space syntax, technology transfer, the training of athletes, the meditative movement of the monks.

An interesting feature that’s not immediately noticeable: The sounds of the robotic choreography scraping through the gravel on the bed.

How it reflects your practice as a whole: Spatial media work using real-time data. Visualizing the invisible.
