Gallerist and curator William Leung is pleased to present the group exhibition “Home Alone 2: Lost in Miami.” The exhibition poses as a sequel to “Home Alone,” the group show co-curated by Leung and Bill Brady in their New York space, ATM Gallery. Name after the quintessential holiday movie, the show united an eclectic cast of artists under the same roof during a year marked by historic stay-at-home measures.

For a second act, Leung takes a cue from his Hollywood inspiration’s sequel, “Home Alone: Lost in New York,” traveling to a different destination for the season’s festivities. Set in tropical Miami, the group show fills the walls of the gallery space with a new and international cast.

Eight artists are featured: Amélie Bertrand, Chloë Saï Breil-Dupont, Anner Cohen, Chanel Khoury, Anna Nero, Anthony Padilla, Tsai-Ling Tseng, and Yoora Lee, who all hail from different geographical backgrounds. Their works, varying in subject matter, style, and approach, range from landscapes, portraiture, and abstraction to surreal mixes of all of the above. An enthusiasm for color and the expressive prowess of painting presents itself as a unifying thread. The works converse and bounce off each other. As diverse as they are effervescent, they come together under Leung’s curation with a reinvigorating sense of boldness and the refreshing possibility of travel.

“Home Alone 2: Lost in Miami” will run from November 28 to December 12 at Surface Area.
