The Stars Align at Ruinart’s Frieze LA Food for Art Dinner

On Feb. 16, Ruinart kicked off Frieze LA with an intimate dinner at Bar Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard to celebrate David Horvitz’s interactive artwork “Give Us Back Our Stars.” Draped over the restaurant’s facade, the hand-sewn flag aims to spread awareness about the rampant light pollution that’s dimming the wonder and grandeur of the midnight sky. Bar Restaurant chef Douglas Rankin curated a limited three-course Food for Art menu paired with Ruinart champagnes—all inspired by constellations—that guests enjoyed while witnessing a live performance by extreme vocalist Carmina Escobar.
