A Teresa Margolles commission brings trans unity and visibility to Trafalgar Square.

Teresa Margolles’s Mil Veces un Instante has been unveiled as the latest installation on London’s fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square. The work features more than 300 masks of transgender and non-binary people from both Mexico and the U.K., and pays tribute to those killed in hate crimes. Margolles drew inspiration from Mesoamerican traditions, with the masks meant to naturally degrade over time as a symbol of transformation.

Colin Fournier, founder of conceptual architecture studio Archigram, has died at 79.

Colin Fournier, a co-founder of the avant-garde architecture group Archigram, has died. Fournier, who co-designed the Kunsthaus Graz with Sir Peter Cook, redefined cultural landmarks and earned Austria’s Goldener Ehrenzeichen medal. Throughout his career, he balanced architectural innovation with academic mentorship, teaching at institutions like the Bartlett School of Architecture. 

The London Design Festival honors Rei Kawakubo with a lifetime achievement award.

Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garçons, received the Lifetime Achievement Medal at the London Design Festival for her contributions to fashion design. Through her experimentalist approach, Kawakubo has redefined beauty and the relationship between body and clothing and is continuously recognized for having influenced global design.

After filing for bankruptcy, Tupperware shares fall more than 50 percent in a single day.

Tupperware Brands is preparing to file for bankruptcy after years of declining demand, reliance on outdated business models, and ongoing financial struggles, including more than $700 million in debt. The company recently closed its only U.S. factory, laid off employees, and replaced its CEO in a failed turnaround attempt.
