KidSuper and Uniswap are bringing a pop-up cafe—SuperSwap—to Brooklyn.

KidSuper has partnered with decentralized trading platform Uniswap to launch the SuperSwap Café at its store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The cafe, which opens on Sept. 21, will operate from Friday through Sunday for two months, and will coincide with the release of KidSuper’s Puma collection.

Paypal unveils a Pentagram-led redesign with a focus on timelessness and simplicity.

PayPal has unveiled a brand refresh led by Pentagram’s Andrea Trabucco-Campos. It features a sharper logo, a custom typeface called PayPal Pro, and a scaled-back color palette that champions its signature blue. The update also features a user interface inspired by digital payment gestures like tapping and swiping.

LACMA terminates its satellite campus expansion plans, citing financial difficulties.

After seven years in development, LACMA has canceled its plan to build a satellite campus at South Los Angeles Wetlands Park due to unexpectedly high repair and retrofit costs. Initially projected to cost $25 million, the project became financially unfeasible after engineering studies revealed higher expenses than anticipated. 

Boeing enacts hiring and raise freezes and furloughs after 30,000 machinists strike.

Tens of thousands of Boeing employees are in the process of being furloughed as a machinist strike halts the aerospace giant’s operations. The strike follows the rejection of a proposed labor contract that the union said failed to address pension restoration or rising costs of living.

Chanel purchases the building that houses its Avenue Montaigne store in Paris.

The French maison has purchased the building housing its Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris, securing a prime location that has been part of the brand since 1983. This acquisition aligns with Chanel’s strategy to expand its real estate portfolio, following similar purchases in key cities like London and Biarritz.
