Marc Jacobs has been named the guest editor of American Vogue’s December issue, marking a first for the magazine. The issue features two covers of Kaia Gerber, photographed by Steven Meisel and painted by Anna Weyant, with Jacobs likening the collaborative editorial process to designing a runway show.

Houston’s I. M. Pei–designed office building TwentyFour25 recently sold for $27 million at a bankruptcy auction. The building originally opened in 1980 and sold promptly, with a bidding period that lasted a mere 30 days.

Ken Griffin donated $10 million to the Pérez Art Museum Miami during its annual Art of the Party gala. The benefit, where Griffin was recognized, also honored artist Delcy Morelos with the Pérez Prize.
Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is limiting its daily site visitors to 20,000.
To protect Pompeii from overcrowding, the archaeological park will introduce personalized tickets with a 20,000-visitor daily cap starting on Nov. 15. The new system aims to reduce risks to both visitors and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Officials are also facilitating the “Greater Pompeii” project, which will offer free shuttles to nearby ancient sites.
