In 2025, Tate Modern will exhibit rare Mark Rothko and Louise Bourgeois works.

Tate Modern will celebrate its 25th anniversary in May 2025 with a free four-day event featuring 25 iconic works, including Louise Bourgeois’s Maman and Mark Rothko’s Seagram murals. The program highlights a trail through the museum’s history, along with contemporary installations like Nalini Malani’s immersive film and live tarot readings by Meschac Gaba. 

Alaïa continues its United States expansion with two new stores on the West Coast.

Alaïa has expanded its U.S. presence with two new West Coast boutiques at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. Designed by Swedish studio Halleroed, the stores blend organic forms and sharp lines, showcasing pale leather, Carrara marble, and unique architectural details like skylights and modular ’70s furniture.

Vans opens a new London concept shop with skateable interior architecture.

Vans has unveiled a unique skateable concept store on London’s Oxford Street, blending retail with a community hub that celebrates skateboarding, music, and art. Designed by Andrea Caputo Studio, the store features a travertine skate ramp for lessons, demos, and events, alongside space for cultural programming like exhibitions and performances. 

A show at Norway’s Kunsthall Trondheim celebrates humans’ kinship with dogs.

Emilie Louise Gossiaux’s “Kinship” transforms Norway’s Kunsthall Trondheim into a joyful celebration of the bond with her guide dog, London, through handmade ceramic Kongs, drawings, and sculptures. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the world from a dog’s perspective, with low-hung art and playful design elements inspired by dog parks. Balancing tenderness and imagination, the show explores themes of mutual care, disability, and the reimagining of arbitrary norms in art and daily life.

MAD Architects unveils a UFO-shaped installation for a land art festival in China.

MAD Architects’ The Never Hut, which was unveiled at the Guangdong Nanhai Land Art Festival, transforms a historic village playground into a community gathering space. Its flying saucer-like structure, crafted from local fishing nets, draws inspiration from the area’s Qing Dynasty architecture and natural surroundings, blending movement and stillness.
