For the first time, Hermès will present its new menswear collection in Los Angeles. The Paris-based fashion house is the latest in a string of brands to begin hosting shows in the California city.

Artist, curator, and community organizer Ingrid LaFleur has announced that she will enter the Detroit mayoral race. After 20 years as The New Yorker’s cartoon editor, Bob Mankoff is leaving the magazine. “It’s a lot easier picking cartoons than doing them,” said Mankoff. “But it’s not quite as much fun. Now I have to throw myself back into the mix.”
