The minimalist sculptor’s adoration of Vienna-born potter Rie and her protégé Coper was such that he titled 18 light works in his 1990 series after them. Those pieces will be exhibited here, alongside 15 objects from Flavin’s personal collection of ceramics, highlighting the artists’ shared affinities for materiality and harmony.
