The interior design fair launches its winter edition with more than 2,700 exhibitors presenting home, fashion, and lifestyle offerings, and over 100 conferences and events presenting new trends in design. Here are some highlights to note.
Cecile Manz
M&O’s latest Designer of the Year, the Danish Manz presents her latest minimalist furniture and objects alongside her iconic creations (The Ladder, Workshop Chair), in an exhibition that re-creates a warm and homey atmosphere.
Rising Talents
This year’s spotlight on emerging talents turns to Italy and introduces the work of six of its up-and-coming designers, Federica Biasi, Antonio Facco, Marco Lavit Nicora, Federico Peri, and Guglielmo Poletti.
Showroom by Nelly Rodi
Creative agency Nelly Rodi explores this edition’s theme, “Showroom,” with interactive scenography at the fair’s Inspirations Space and Café-Bookstore that surveys how digital and social media have transformed the way consumers decorate their living spaces.
Molo
At their booth in Hall 8, the Canadian design studio will be creating an installation inspired by the Pacific Ocean, with curved paper softwalls forming winding passages that open up to two distinct spaces furnished with Molo’s acclaimed soft collection of modular furniture and its latest cloud-mast lighting collection.
Italia ♥ M&O
In addition to honoring its up-and-coming names, the fair also celebrates Italy’s enduring design culture with a special sector featuring 300-plus Italian brands, including furniture makers Metalmobil and Qeeboo, lighting company Creative Cables, and fashion label Spalding Bros.
