Formafantasma founders Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Ferresin revisit the impeccably preserved archive of Italian engineer and architect Pier Luigi Nervi—who famously invented ferro-cement, a low-cost reinforced concrete that rose to prominence during World War II—by recreating a construction site draped with archival photographs of Nervi’s mathematically complex buildings printed on sheaths of Alcantara.
