A-Cold-Wall founder Samuel Ross launches a new line with a splashy Zara collaboration.

Samuel Ross, founder of the menswear label A-Cold-Wall, has partnered with Zara on his re-entry to fashion: SR_A Engineered by Zara. Starting next year, the collaboration will offer refined garments with a focus on functionality, and will launch with artistic performances and fashion installations in cities that are yet to be announced.

Mytheresa moves to acquire the entirety of Yoox Net-a-Porter from Richemont.

Mytheresa has agreed to acquire 100 percent of Yoox Net-a-Porter (YNAP) from Richemont. The deal, which is expected to close in 2025, in turn gives Richemont a 33 percent stake in Mytheresa and will see YNAP integrated with Mytheresa’s operations while maintaining separate storefronts for Mytheresa, Net-a-Porter, and Mr Porter.

British media company Design Week has relaunched after an acquisition earlier this year.

Design Week has relaunched with a new team, fresh visual identity, and a commitment to spotlighting design beyond London. Its leadership includes publisher David Coveney, designer Chris McInerney, and editor Rob Alderson, all of whom aim to expand its digital coverage of topics including the business side of the industry.  

Tropical Storm Helene has destroyed architect Paul Rudolph’s Sanderling Beach Club.

Tropical Storm Helene has destroyed Paul Rudolph’s 72-year-old Sanderling Beach Club in Sarasota, Florida. The beach club, which had been added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994, featured barrel-vaulted cabanas with wavelike roofs and were situated on the precipice of the coastline. The loss is concurrent with the late architect’s major fall retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 

Artist and poet James Magee, who created a famous steel monument in Texas, dies at 79.

Artist and poet James Magee spent more than 40 years creating a monumental artwork called The Hill in the West Texas desert, composed of four imposing stone and steel buildings that house his personal, large-scale assemblages. Despite facing personal challenges, including living with HIV and losing both legs, Magee remained committed to his vision, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire awe and curiosity.
