Detail: J.Mendel’s Tuileries Garden-Inspired Beading

In his return to the Paris runway—and his first haute couture show—New York-based designer and J. Mendel creative director Gilles Mendel paid homage to the French capital and his native city. Together, the hand-stitched pastel beads and paillettes on this column dress form a pattern inspired by the Tuileries Garden, and bring new meaning to la vie en rose.
