What’s Happening: Miami’s famed hedonist playground, E11even nightclub, is partnering with the developer PMG to launch a branded hotel and residential project in the West Park district near downtown. Architect Sieger Suarez spearheaded the design of the 65-story high-rise, while AvroKO, the prolific hospitality-centric firm behind San Francisco’s Blade Runner–inspired Cold Drinks bar and 1 Hotel Central Park, was tapped for interiors.
The Download: Known for its cirque-like performances, A-list DJ talent, and 24-hour operation, E11even has risen to become one of the world’s biggest nightclub names—and a celebrity magnet that has attracted everyone from Cardi B and Leonardo DiCaprio to Lebron James (or pretty much any NBA player). Now the brand’s staying power will be put to the test with the E11EVEN Miami Residences and Hotel.
Modeled after upscale Las Vegas resorts, the property will house a 20,000-square-foot day club and pool with performance stages and a music studio, gourmet food hall, Casino-style sports lounge, club on Miami Beach, spa and vinyasa yoga studio by Deepak Chopra, and 375 fully furnished condo-hotel units with smart home technology, LED fireplaces, and French balconies with views of Biscayne Bay. Of course, all residents will be automatic VIPs at the existing party palace nearby. Construction is scheduled to get underway this summer.
Surface Says: Leave it to Miami to incubate the nightclub to hotel model.
