LeBron James has become the first professional athlete to have a Ken doll made in his likeness.

LeBron James has become the first professional athlete to be immortalized as a Ken doll, joining the Barbie universe in a collaboration between Mattel and his foundation. The $75 collectible, which officially launches on April 14, depicts James in off-court dress, complete with custom accessories and a taller build than the standard Ken. Designed to inspire young fans and appeal to adult collectors alike, the release underscores James’ cultural influence beyond basketball.

At Milan Design Week, Miu Miu’s literary club carves out a “culturally rich retreat.”

Miu Miu’s Milan Design Week Literary Club activation, entitled “A Woman’s Education,” has transformed the historic Circolo Filologico cultural association into a sanctuary for dialogue around themes of girlhood, love, and sexuality. This year’s literary club centers around the writings of Simone de Beauvoir and Fumiko Enchi with readings, panels, and performances that offer a reflective counterpoint to the week’s commercial buzz.

A report published by Anonymous Was a Woman reveals lingering art industry inequities.

A new report from Anonymous Was A Woman exposes how structural inequities continue to marginalize women artists in the U.S., particularly mid-career practitioners facing financial insecurity, limited institutional support, and censorship concerns. Surveying 1,200 artists—most over 40—the findings reveal that many rely on outside income to sustain their practice and increasingly bypass traditional gallery systems to gain control over their careers. The report also underscores how race, age, and gender identity intersect to compound barriers, with younger and nonwhite artists reporting heightened anxiety around creative freedom and discrimination.
