An artist’s viral courtroom sketches of the Trump trial have gotten the gallery show treatment.

During the Depp-Heard trial, Isabelle Brourman gained widespread recognition for her courtroom sketches—a trajectory that has now culminated in a solo exhibition at New York’s Will Shott Gallery featuring her drawings from Donald Trump’s legal battles. The viscerality of her work blends adrenaline-driven intuition with meticulous preparation, capturing both the intensity and nuance of legal drama and has even earned praise from figures like New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Architect Marina Tabassum has been announced as the designer of the 2025 Serpentine Pavillion.

Marina Tabassum, a celebrated Bangladeshi architect, has designed the 2025 Serpentine Pavilion, marking the 25th anniversary of the annual London commission. Titled A Capsule in Time, the pavilion features four arched timber modules with semi-transparent panels that Tabassum intends to reflect the transient nature of both the Serpentine tradition and life in the Bengal Delta, where shifting rivers dictate relocation. This year’s pavilion will debut on June 6 as part of the gallery’s anniversary celebration honoring Zaha Hadid’s pioneering legacy.

A leaked letter from the director of the Louvre pulls back the curtain on the museum’s struggles.

A letter written by the president of the Louvre to French Culture Minister Rachida Dati reveals that the institution faces urgent architectural challenges, with President Laurence des Cars warning of deteriorating infrastructure that endangers artworks and hampers visitor experiences. Leaks, outdated pipes, and inadequate climate control threaten key spaces, while congested entry points and insufficient facilities fail to meet international standards. Des Cars has proposed a €750 million overhaul, including a new entrance and urban reconfiguration, but funding remains uncertain amid declining revenues and budget cuts.
