The Glass House Rings In Its 75th Anniversary

This past weekend, artists and architecture enthusiasts decamped to New Canaan, CT, to take in Philip Johnson’s architectural landmark on the occasion of its 75th anniversary. Guests explored the campus and its amenities, such as an Aesop scent bar and a Max Mara pop-up shop, and took in performances by Brendan Fernandes as well as a DJ set by Rachel Winters. A benefit auction afforded those in attendance the opportunity to acquire Ed Ruscha’s limited-edition lithograph, The Glass House. Attendees also viewed works from the Glass House’s permanent collection, including Frank Stella’s artwork and his sculpture, Raft of the Medusa, along with Shigeru Ban’s installation Paper Log House.
