LVMH makes a minority investment in Berlin-based eyewear brand Mykita.

LVMH has acquired a minority stake in Berlin-based eyewear brand Mykita, aiming to support the brand’s global growth while allowing it to remain operationally independent. Through its eyewear division Thélios, LVMH is strengthening its positioning in a rapidly growing global eyewear market, projected to reach over $200 billion by 2030.

Central Park’s new Davis recreation center will preserve the picturesque landscape.

Central Park’s new recreation hub, the Davis Center, will open next year near the park’s Harlem Meer. The structure will blend seamlessly into the landscape by nestling into a hillside near the manmade lake, restoring the area’s pastoral landscape vistas thanks to Christopher Nolan and Susan T. Rodriguez Architecture.

Amid costly delays, and alleged human rights abuses, NEOM’s CEO abruptly departs.

Nadhmi al-Nasr, Neom’s CEO since 2018, has exited the $500 billion project. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has taken over its direct management and has appointed Aiman al-Mudaifer as acting CEO to stabilize operations. 

Amazon puts its own logistics-obsessed spin on smart glasses—for delivery drivers.

Amazon is developing smart glasses to help its delivery drivers navigate complex routes and streamline deliveries by offering turn-by-turn directions and hands-free navigation. The technology currently faces challenges including battery life limitations, the need for extensive mapping data, and the burden of convincing drivers to use it.

Trailblazing artist Joan Jonas has received South Korea’s Nam June Paik Prize.

American artist Joan Jonas has won the 8th Nam June Paik Prize from South Korea’s Nam June Paik Art Center for her influential work in performance, video art, and installation. Recognized as a pioneering figure in performance art since the 1960s, Jonas will receive the prize on November 28, alongside a monetary award and a solo exhibition at the Center in 2025.
