For years, Maria Cornejo’s perennially elegant clothing has served as a canvas on which to celebrate women in art. Recently, the Chilean-American designer partnered with her friend artist Elliott Puckette, whose organic linear aesthetic complements Cornejo’s sinuous designs. On this blouse, Puckette’s graphic artwork gives body to fluid silk charmeuse. Digitally printed in Como, Italy, at a mill chosen for its water-conserving methods, the textile reiterates Cornejo’s commitment to the environment. In terms of style and sustainability, Zero + Maria Cornejo is as much a reflection of our industry’s needs as our sartorial desires.
