A Twerk ’n Jerk Barbecue to Kick Off Frieze Week

On May 16, MATCHESFASHION and Lehmann Maupin hosted a Twerk & Jerk Barbecue with Nari Ward and Ghetto Gastro at the fashion platform’s New York Residency to kick off Frieze week and celebrate the Harlem artist’s latest solo exhibition. Guests flocked to a stately six-story townhouse on the Upper East Side to peruse the shoppable summer edit before sipping champagne, dancing to a DJ set by SHYBOI, and enjoying Ghetto Gastro’s menu that included Twerk ’n Jerk Chicken with miso, truffle, and pineapple confit.
