Inside MoMA PS1’s Star-Studded Gala
On May 10, New York’s creative cognoscenti flocked to Long Island City for MoMA PS1’s annual gala. Held on-site in the museum’s courtyard, the festivities celebrated Daniel Lind-Ramos’s newly opened exhibition, as well as a constellation of influential artists and patrons including Robert Soros, Anicka Yi, and James Turrell, who delighted the crowd with a zany speech. Guests gathered for evening cocktails among an entry installation by Poncili Creación before sitting for a dinner whose menu reflected shared Greek and Caribbean culinary traditions by chef Mina Stone. The dinner concluded with a special performance by local musician duendita followed by an afterparty with DJ sets by Christian Mártir, Cosmo, and Venus X, as well as a live performance by Standing on the Corner, who’s opening an exhibition at the museum on June 1. Notable attendees include Rosie Assoulin, Klaus Biesenbach, Zoe Buckman, Jeffrey Meris, Brian Donnelly, Lutfi Janania, Anne Pasternak, Agnes Gund, Angel Otero, Vito Schnabel, Antwaun Sargent, Hannah Traore, and more.
