Lucie and Luke Meier bid farewell to Jil Sander with their final Fall/Winter 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week, marking the end of an eight-year tenure with the brand. Under their creative leadership, the label embraced a modern, experimental take on minimalism, contributing to its recent financial growth. Their departure follows a period of restructuring at Jil Sander, which has seen new leadership, expanded retail presence, and the launch of high jewelry and fragrance lines.Speculation swirls about their potential successor.

More than 200 people assembled outside of a Brooklyn Museum fundraiser to protest recent layoffs.

More than two hundred demonstrators, including museum staff and local politicians, gathered outside the Brooklyn Museum’s Chairman’s Dinner to protest the recent layoffs of forty-seven employees. Union leaders condemned the institution’s failure to negotiate alternative cost-cutting measures before terminating over ten percent of its workforce. As the museum marks its bicentennial, critics question its spending on rebranding and renovations while calling for city funding to prevent further job losses.

A Manhattan judge has dismissed a copyright case concerning Jeff Koons art from 1989.

A federal judge dismissed a copyright lawsuit brought by set designer Michael Hayden against Jeff Koons. The court’s decision hinged on timing rather than fair use, ruling that Hayden waited too long to file his claim over alleged infringement in Koons’ 1989 Made in Heaven series. 

After a stellar showing at Milan Fashion Week, Prada is now a frontrunner in the Versace bid.

Prada is in advanced talks to acquire Versace from Capri Holdings for approximately $1.6 billion, a move that would unite two of Italy’s most prominent luxury houses. While Capri initially sought $3.2 billion, negotiations have intensified following its failed merger with Tapestry.
