A Night to Celebrate Renell Medrano

On Oct. 3, Renell Medrano toasted the opening of “Lambón,” the New York photographer’s first hometown showcase of her work in more than five years. Presented by WeTransfer and Water Street Projects at WSA, the show brought together her work from editorial projects and collaborations through her creative collective Ice Studios—including those with Kendrick Lamar and Solange Knowles—alongside previously unseen work shot on trips to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Egypt. Guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails by Hennessy while mingling among a vibrant mix of close friends from within New York’s creative community, such as Bad Bunny, Moses Sumney, Alex Consani, Tyrell Hampton, Antwaun Sargent, Quil Lemons, Kim Shui, Deon Hinton, Joey Badass, and more.
