While launching its inaugural Travel issue, Surface and Tumi held a dinner on Oct. 6 in New York City to celebrate Tumi’s 19 Degree collection in front of esteemed guests from the art, design, and fashion worlds. Invitees included George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, Marnie and Adam Tihany, and Alexandra Champalimaud, as well as the Surface team and Victor Sanz, Tumi’s newly appointed creative director.
At the dinner, Surface editor-in-chief Spencer Bailey praised the design of the new collection and his personal experience with Tumi products. Sanz introduced himself to the group and spoke about his plans for the company’s design direction.
