It’s likely you’ve heard talk (or seen internet videos) suggesting that pod-based, “K-cup” coffeemakers are killing the planet with their often un-recyclable ground-filled inserts. With over 40 percent of the entire U.S. coffeemaker market comprised by machines using the little plastic vessels and 9 billion of those pods expended as of 2016, it’s certainly a strike against sustainability, even if producers are looking for solutions.
The lack of such pods is just one of the many things Terra Kaffe’s TK-01 has going for it.
