Brand Partnerships Manager - The List

We are currently seeking passionate, design-obsessed individuals to scale and transform The List: the definitive directory of Surface-approved architecture and design firms, furniture and interiors brands, art houses, hospitality spaces and more.

Who You Are:

You are someone who is passionate about design with an appreciation and understanding of architecture, art, fashion, travel and luxury. You are knowledgeable about industry leaders, emerging designers and rising trends. You have an extensive network of agencies, brands and creatives who would be perfect to join our members-only community, The List, and you will be the person to usher them in. You should have 2-3 years of direct, high-volume sales experience with a proven track record of success managing deals from source to close. 

Sales

  • Manage your own leads: proactively prospect, qualify, and grow accounts by developing strong and profitable relationships with client and agency partners, delivering industry-leading levels of creativity and customer service
  • Make a high volume of daily outbound sales calls to business owners across all verticals
  • Closely coordinate sales activities and delegating tasks where appropriate in order to maintain 80% weekly selling time
  • Drive the full sales cycle to attain new business: make introductory calls, assess business goals through qualifying, pitch brands on Surface’s The List tiers and deliverables, and close the deal
  • Effectively manage your client management pipeline using our internal CRM system and close expected number of deals to reach revenue target
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a united vision when corresponding with clients
  • Ensure clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements
  • Comply with rate schedules, production procedures, accounting procedures, credit policies, and deadlines

Marketing

  • Represent Surface in the digital marketplace and become an active brand advocate
  • Work with marketing team to formulate marketing campaigns for clients from concept to execution including deck creation, pitch, project management and ensuring deliverables are met
  • Share feedback from the clients with the marketing team and work with them to identify and develop go-to-market strategies that are custom to the categories you oversee

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Passion for design and a wide network of connections and comrades in the industry
  • 2-3 years sales experience, a plus if working with design-driven brands and the luxury sector
  • You are a forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline and a proven track record of exceeding goals
  • A leading work ethic and a competitive instinct to win
  • A natural ability to sell and build relationships
  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in GSuite (Gmail, Gcal, Gdrive, Docs, Sheets), Adobe Acrobat, Keynote, and Social Media platforms
