Adolf de Meyer’s photographs, shot in fin-de-siècle Europe, still glow with sumptuous elegance and sensuality. More than 40 of his images, including his inventive work in fashion and dance photography, color experiments, and portraits of personalities such as Josephine Baker and Count Étienne de Beaumont, form the core of his first-ever show at the Met.
