The Madrid-born and Berlin-based artist transforms exhibition spaces into theatrical and immersive environments. It’s no different for his latest show, which reimagines Scott Burton’s dismantled public artwork, Atrium Furnishment, that explores its uncertain future and potential for reassembly. Urbano repurposes the original marble and bronze elements, echoing Burton’s blending of sculpture and furniture. A suspended light installation above mirrors the city’s grid; it’s interspersed with fragmented glimpses of corporate interiors, casting shifting shadows of dead leaves, rain puddles, and butterflies, and adds a dreamlike, atmospheric dimension.
