Since the early 1970s, Brian Clarke has collaborated with some of the world’s most prominent architects to dream up ethereal stained-glass works for projects worldwide. This immersive show finally gives the British artist his due with more than 100 stained glass works, lead compositions, and related drawings that cement his status as one of the foremost artists working in this overlooked medium. A series of 20+ free-standing glass screens, animated by changing light and stained with exuberant saturated colors, is perhaps the show’s centerpiece, transporting viewers to the very frontier of what’s possible in stained glass today.
