Curated by designers Tess and Marcus De Paula, “Current” features an assortment of makers based along the Brooklyn waterfront who toe the line between—and challenge the confines of—contemporary fine art and design. The pop-up “aims to present a cross-sectional snapshot of these designers’ evolving practices, some emerging and others established,” Tess says, “and collectively representing the talent in this area.” Among those included are lighting designer James Dieter, ceramicist William Coggin, and furniture designer Mark Jupiter, among others.
