Based in Brooklyn, Cynthia Daignault’s penchant for discovery through documentation has led her to tackle projects of immense scope (she once drove around the circumference of the United States to capture the view in 360 paintings). This show began when she asked artists whose practice involves appropriation to lend her a piece. Daignault received 35 submissions from artists including Sara Cwynar, Robert Gober, and Tom Sachs. Each of her paintings in the show depicts one of the other artists’ work.
