The late Mexican architect’s private residence, which contains his vast art collection, undergoes an intervention by curator Elena Filipovic, who has replaced more than 50 pieces with contemporary counterparts by the likes of Deana Lawson, Gabriel Kuri, and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye. The new works either reference themes that captivated Barragán—such as mortality and intimacy—or spark discussions about new themes that shed light on the present.
