Themed “Open Archive,” the fourth edition of this month-long biennial examines how the collection, organization, and interpretation of photography aids storytelling. Its core program spans three days and features more than 200 participants in exhibitions, talks, and performances. Among the highlights are a presentation of Swedish artist Mamma Andersson’s photographic archive, a symposium on feminist approaches to photography, a conversation with Miranda July, and “Blind Spot,” an interdisciplinary performance by Teju Cole and Vijay Iyer.
