This exhibition illuminates the life, art, and inimitable dress of the Mexican icon through more than 200 of her personal objects, including her signature Tehuana garments, pre-Columbian jewelry, intricately painted prosthetics, and collection of ex votos, none of which will have ever been exhibited before. Displayed alongside film and portraits of the artist, they offer compelling insight into how Kahlo empowered herself with art and style.
