Sixteen new sculptures by the New York artist hover on the edge of domestic function: the leg of a table becomes the foot of a bird, the line on the floor becomes the seam of a pair of jeans, and a letter becomes a step. Both recognizable yet drained of their function, Hall’s sculptures become abstract, scrambled combinations of colors, textures, patterns, shapes, surfaces, and materials that open up entirely new possibilities for function and perception.
