Women have contributed crucially to modern design, both creatively and commercially, yet are often excluded from the history books. Aiming to redress the balance, this landmark exhibition highlights women designers from the past 120 years and recounts a more equitable design narrative within the context of the struggle for equal rights and recognition. More than 80 women designers are showcased, including Modernist protagonists Eileen Gray and Charlotte Perriand; business leaders Florence Knoll and Armi Ratia; and contemporary voices Patricia Urquiola and Matali Crasset.
