This exhibition will examine 1960s and ’70s counterculture through the lenses of art, architecture, and design. Hundreds of objects, from magazines and photographs to experimental furniture and “alternative living structures,” will aim to show how hippie culture’s adoption of new technologies and idealistic ways of thinking related to the modernist movement.
