Sculptor Justin Morin harnesses the ephemeral nature of cut flowers with “Fleurs du Mal,” in which he recreates a flower shop where his “tattooed” flowers are paired with hand-painted vases. The blooms and their vessels contrast the expressions of Mariya, a character Morin created for his 2021 “Ballerina” exhibition at Last Resort Gallery, juxtaposing expressions of bliss and anguish in a drawing style inspired by shoujo manga.
