Inspired by the Victoria Memorial at Buckingham Palace, Fons Americanus flips the celebration of empire on its head by exploring the interconnected histories of Africa, America, and Europe. Flowing water becomes a symbol for the transatlantic slave trade, as well as the ambitions, fates, and tragedies of the people from these three continents.
