Organized by three European curators, this group show will try to capture the spirit of Los Angeles through works by nearly three dozen artists and a compilation of excerpts from texts by 84 writers. Every one was or is a resident, from John Baldessari and Alex Israel, to Joan Didion and Rachel Kushner. The narrative that emerges will be based in impressions and memories of the city as interpreted by some of its brightest minds.
