The American artist presents four laboratory-like greenhouses that are growing plant, lichen, and algae species native to New York City’s natural environments, but no longer grow within city limits. In recent months, Wang researched, planted, and cared for each species in his garden and studio upstate, and aims for the plants to continue flourishing in urban gardens after the exhibition closes.
