Known for deeply personal fiber-based works that capture intense feeling, Jung depicts the human shield as a delicate, phantasmagorical veil by means of vibrant mohair yarns playfully traversing warps back and forth. The fiber artist, who hails from Seoul but is now based in Montana, conceived the series following the outbreak of racial violence against AAPI groups over the past two years and after witnessing the growing fear within her community.
