To support the city’s only gallery dedicated to art and architecture, exhibition designer Lanza Atelier teamed up with Pentagram on a presentation of works by the architecture practices Charlap Hyman & Herrero, PRODUCTORA, Reddymade, and Peterson Rich Office, among others. The aptly named Re-Source reworks scrap materials—plywood, steel studs, pipes, obsolete electronics, and more—that accumulated at Storefront over the years into thoughtful compositions made from community resources. As the gallery’s first in-person show since the lockdown, it features works by 26 designers who envision what spaces will look like post-pandemic, and also doubles as a fundraising initiative to recoup crucial financial resources lost due to the cancellation of Storefront’s annual Spring Benefit.
