Mexican architect Frida Escobedo lends her knack for urban reactivation to the 18th edition of the Serpentine Pavilion. Drawing on Mexican architecture and British materials, her courtyard-based design for the temporary Pavilion employs light, water, and geometry to create a space for both play and contemplation. The Pavilion also hosts the Serpentine’s Park Nights series of programs, which presents site-specific, interdisciplinary works and performances that respond to Escobedo’s design.
