Opening during Dubai Art Week, “Syria: Into The Light” will inaugurate Alserkal Avenue’s latest space, the OMA-designed Concrete. Organized by Syria’s nonprofit Atassi Foundation and writer and curator Rasha Salti, the show will include work made between 1924 and 2016 by more than 40 Syrian artists. The collective display will aim to narrate the battered country’s recent history, as reflected through the artwork it has produced over the decades.
