Besides being America’s longest-running art fair, The Art Show has always reflected the wide variety of regional and period-specific art sold by the members of its founding organization, the Art Dealers Association of America. Returning to the Park Avenue Armory, this edition will be no different: Items on view will range from a pair of marble busts made in 1849 by neoclassical sculptor Hiram Powers at Peter Freeman, Inc., to ink drawings sketch on matchbooks by Jackson Pollock in the 1950s at Washburn Gallery, to a new painting series by Josh Smith depicting Japanese fighter fish at Luhring Augustine.
