Accompanying the release of The Library Book, this show will present works by the publication’s author and photographer, Thomas R. Schiff. For the title series, Schiff had set out to capture libraries in America, aiming to document their transformation over the centuries from elites-only enclaves in colonial times to iconic public buildings in modern cities, such as New York’s Morgan Library & Museum by architect Charles F. McKim and Boston’s John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by I. M. Pei.
